Abstract

This workshop explores the practice of integrating Team-Based Learning (TBL)an innovative teaching methodinto business courses. TBL aims to replace traditional lecture-based models: through structured pre-class preparation, in-class team activities, and real-time concept application, it encourages active student participation. In large-scale teaching (serving over 2,400 students annually), this method has significantly boosted students’ in-class engagement, collaboration skills, and critical thinking.

The session will focus on sharing TBL’s core elements, including assessment design, teaching strategies, and faculty engagement mechanisms, as well as the challenges and outcomes of large-scale implementation. Initial data shows that TBL effectively enhances students’ motivation and fosters deep learning. We invite you to join the discussion on how TBL can reshape the classroom ecosystem of business education.
