Dr. XU Hui is a Professor and PhD Supervisor at the Nankai University Business School, where she also serves as Director of the Service Management Research Center and Director of the MBA Case Lab. She is the Chief Expert of the first batch of major enterprise case bases approved by the Ministry of Education.
Professor XU has received honors including the "New Century Excellent Talents" title from the Ministry of Education, and was named an "Active Academic Teacher in Marketing" on the 2022 Hurun Education·China Business School Professors Academic Activity Rankings. Her research focuses on marketing, service management, brand management, international business management, and risk management. She has led or participated in multiple national-level research projects, such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation projects, and National Social Science Foundation projects. She has published over 100 academic monographs and papers in high-impact domestic and international journals.
With a long-term focus on China’s local business management practices, Professor XU uses case-based qualitative research methods to develop original Chinese business management cases. She holds various academic positions: Program Committee Member of the International Forum on Chinese Business Management Case Research, Review Committee Member of the China Management Case-Sharing Center, Part-time Case Researcher at the Case Center of CEIBS, and Subject Editor for Case Review at ChinaCases.Org. She has also won national-level honors, including the "Typical Demonstration Achievement in Case Research" from China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, and ranked second (as first author) in the number of "Top 100 Excellent Management Cases" in the national MBA program.
Abstract
High-quality cases are the foundation of engaging, effective teaching. This lecture connects the refinement and promotion of enterprise management innovation achievements with the organization of case teaching materials to strengthen industry-education collaboration. By telling the stories of Chinese enterprises, it will systematically sort out the operational and development experiences of Chinese companies, and effectively distill the lessons and patterns of their technological innovation, as well as management and marketing innovation.
