Speaker Profile

Dr. HE Feng is a Professor of Finance and a doctoral supervisor at the Capital University of Economics and Business. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees in Management and Economics. In addition to his academic roles, he serves as the Deputy Director of the university's Research Administration Office and as the Director of the Climate Finance Research Center at the China ESG Research Institute.

A recipient of a prestigious National-level Young Talent award, Prof. He is a highly accomplished scholar. He has been named a World's Top 2% Scientist (Swansea University) and is a highly cited researcher in finance. His research spans green finance & ESG, law & finance, the digital economy, corporate finance, and derivatives & risk management.

Prof. He has an extensive publication record, with over 90 articles in leading Chinese and international journals, including Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Management Sciences in China, and Nankai Business Review. More than ten of his papers are classified as ESI Highly Cited or Hot Papers.

His editorial leadership is significant. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Review of Economics and Finance and sits on the editorial boards of several other renowned international journals. He has also led numerous research projects funded by key national bodies, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC), and the China Association for Science and Technology.

In addition to his research, Prof. He is an award-winning educator, with top honors including a First Prize for Social Science Research Achievements and First Prize in the Beijing University Young Teachers’ Teaching Basic Skills Competition.

He is actively engaged in the academic community, serving as a council member for the Financial Systems Engineering Committee of the Systems Engineering Society of China and the Climate Finance Research Association. He is also a Research Fellow at the Global Family Business Research Center at Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of judicial efficiency on corporate sustainable strategy from the perspective of China’s smart court construction program. We find that enhanced judicial efficiency significantly promoted corporate sustainable performance. Our results highlight the crucial driving role of institutional environments, particularly judicial efficiency improvements, in corporate sustainable strategy.
